Lighthouse Baptist Christian School is an unaffiliated, Baptist church school located in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Misty Desmond, Class of 98

I attended Lighthouse Baptist Christian School for all 12 years of my education, and the friendships and relationships I built there have had a lasting positive impact on my life. I’m grateful to still be close with many classmates and teachers from my time at LBCS. Their encouragement, support, and godly influence are something I will always cherish. I am so blessed that my son attended LBCS for his entire school career and will be graduating in 2026. The school has had such a positive impact on our lives, and we will forever be grateful for the opportunity to attend.

My time at Lighthouse Baptist Christian School played a major role in shaping who I am today. The school strengthened my faith, provided a solid academic foundation, and surrounded me with teachers whose encouragement and genuine care deeply impacted my life. Through both the classroom and athletics, I learned discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and character—lessons that continue to influence me today as an Assistant Dean at Pensacola Christian College.
