True education begins with saving faith in Christ...

But the unending pursuit of Christ requires that our students diligently add to their faith (2 Peter 1:5-8). It is our commitment to partner with the home and the church to build students whose lives display:

We will train our students to think, speak, and act with heroic moral excellence.

We will teach so that our students both possess and apply spiritual knowledge acquired from a diligent and guided pursuit of the truth of God’s Word.

We will teach our students to display temperance; controlling their passions and bodily appetites, rather than being controlled by them.

We will teach our students to endure in the patient pursuit of Christ, standing steadfast against temptation, never giving in to difficulty.

We will teach our students to develop a practical awareness of God in every area of life, leading to true worship and devotion to His sovereign will.

We will teach our students to exercise a mutually sacrificial compassion toward all men, but especially toward their brothers and sisters in Christ.

We will teach our students to exhibit biblical charity in their daily choices that bring glory to God and benefit others.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Increasing...

In order to help each student reach their full potential and grasp these seven qualities of a LBCS graduate, we strive to help each student increase in wisdom and stature and in favor with both God and man.

At LBCS, we will help you instill in your child a love of learning, a solid spiritual foundation, a network of teachers and friends, and the opportunity to discover and develop the gifts and talents God has uniquely given them.

Hands-on learning is encouraged at all grade levels, with problem-solving and critical thinking taking place both in and out of the classroom. Our academics are enriched with fine arts programs. Rooted in a biblical worldview, the result is a well-rounded student who is prepared for the purposeful pursuit of God Himself, the rigor of college and beyond, and a dedication to lifelong learning.

Jesus grew in a balanced way without neglecting any part of His life. In Luke 2:52, Jesus was set forth as a perfect model that every child should desire to imitate.

Christ grew and developed in physical maturity. Although He came into the world as God in the flesh, He had to grow like any other child. Little is said of His early years, but we know He grew into manhood. If Jesus was a carpenter, like Joseph (Mark 6:3), then He engaged in physical labor.

In this sedentary society, many children do not grow physically because they do not engage in vigorous activity that produces physical growth and development. Parents should teach their children the importance of physical exertion in promoting physical growth and development.

At LBCS, your child will receive physical instruction that will enable him to train, protect, and use his body as the temple of the living God.

A vibrant relationship with Christ is the foundation of a true education. The Christian life is more than a Bible class. We believe that everything in life begins with God and our relationship to Him.

Every faculty and staff member has a personal relationship with Christ. It is from our own walk with God that we seek to win and disciple our students to become faithful and joyful followers of Jesus Christ.

In addition to the available programs and classes, spiritual growth at LBCS extends to the classroom, the playing field, and the hallways. The Christian life is the unending pursuit of Jesus Christ. He alone gives everything else in life its true purpose.

We believe that our students must build proper relationships with others as defined by Scripture, not our unstable society.

Because the family, as ordained by God, is of the utmost importance, we encourage and instruct our students in how to build biblically based relationships in their homes. However, students must also learn about proper relationships with others outside their homes. In a world of degenerating social values, where peer pressure exerts such a strong influence toward evil, we strive to provide an atmosphere for Christ-honoring social development.

Christlikeness is produced by a life of sacrificial service and instruction; that’s why we involve students in Christian ministry, such as personal evangelism, mission trips, prayer groups, Bible clubs, and service projects.

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
